Use your head! (video)
Whilst discussing some football anecdotes over a game of five-a-side today, I remembered this gem I saw on the web a few months back. The clip shows something which to be honest is ridiculous.
Last year Ryujiro Ueda scored a header from 58 yards out, that’s in his own half. I decided I was suitably impressed when I realised that I can’t even kick a ball that far let alone head it. It goes without saying that it was a totally flukey goal that involved some very suspect goalkeeping, but come on it’s still incredible.
With this video, I must send my condolences to a footballer called Jone Samuelsen, who barely a month earlier scored a similar goal that was only a few yards shorter, that’s unlucky.
