Having just been dropped by Juventus for twice turning up late for training, Paul Pogba needs to ensure his attitude does not override his potential.
The 19-year-old will remain in Turin whilst his team-mates travel to Pescara, where the reigning Serie A champions will be looking to put last week’s defeat at home to Inter Milan behind them, the match which brought to an end their 49-game unbeaten run.
The former Le Harve youngster’s promise can already be seen but, whilst he possesses all the attributes to enjoy great success, he must eradicate incidents like this that may disrupt his career.
The midfielder’s agent has claimed there has been a simple misunderstanding between the player and the club. However, Pogba’s reputation after leaving Manchester United may go against him, with Sir Alex Ferguson criticising the France youth international for being disrespectful regarding contract negotiations.
Pogba made a total of seven appearances during his time at Old Trafford, where he was described as “powerful, skilful, and creative”, before signing a four-year contract with Juventus. He has so far made eight appearances for the Italian club and has scored two goals.
Although he won’t be playing this weekend, Paul Pogba is a player who has captained his country at various youth levels and has immense potential. Juventus will be hoping there is no repeat of this situation and that the midfielder can go on to flourish in Turin.
