A Monchengladbach picks the ball up very deep in his own half, by the corner flag in fact, and then proceeds to go on an extraordinary, spellbinding and magical run. A run to rival Maradona’s against England, it’s that good.
He even plays a perfect one two with a team-mate to set up the shot which he hits sweetly….but it knocks the post! The inside of the post! It could still go in! It hits the other post and into the keeper’s hands.
In a word: gutted.
