BREAKING NEWS: Roberto Mancini and Mario Balotelli involved in training-ground scuffle

So it seems that the man who has stuck by Mario Balotelli after all his off-field antics and shocking performances on the pitch has had his faith repaid by the sulky striker causing a training-field scuffle with the gaffer.

Reports say that the scenes were a result of Scott Sinclair reacting to a horrific challenge from Balotelli, with Mancini stepping in to calm matters down, before members of the squad were forced to separate the two Italians.

You have to feel sorry for Mancini when it comes to the turbulent mental state of the 22-year-old. When he splashed a fee of €22m for the target-man that he worked alongside whilst at Serie A side Inter, not only was he putting his reputation on the line because of the bad-boy enigma that Balotelli carried around with him, but he was also proving that he believed the youngster could improve his attitude and become a star player in the Premier League.

Balotelli has consistently let his mentor down. Whether it be his somewhat half-arsed attempts whilst in the shirt of Manchester City or his trouble-making away from the game, he is now largely considered as one of the least liked players in the country.

I am sure that Sir Alex and his posse of backroom staff will all be having a little giggle as the cracks in the current champions of England start to appear.
