Everton looking at Manchester City winger (Video)

David Moyes’ time at Everton has seen of plenty of bargain-hunting and cleverly-done business in the transfer markets, whether it has been players in or out of Goodison Park.

A particularly good piece of wheeler-dealing done by Moyes was to exploit the Major League Soccer’s off season during January and February to take Los Angeles Galaxy forward Landon Donovan from America’s west coast to Merseyside.

Moyes is looking to dip in to the market this January but rather than being linked with taking Donovan to Everton for a 3rd loan spell it is Manchester City’s Scott Sinclair that is being linked with a loan move to Goodison, although the financial situation at Everton dictates any move can only be temporary.

Since leaving Swansea City for Manchester City in a £6 million deal, Sinclair has made just 3 appearances. Moyes is hoping to lure the winger, who represented Great Britain in the summer’s Olympic Games, with the promise of regular football for a 6-month spell at Everton.

Sinclair will offer similar qualities as Donovan has in the past and will also be a fresh face in a tiring squad, which could be just what Moyes needs to continue an excellent first half of the season and rejuvenate any players getting comfortable with the lack of competition in their position.

Still only 22-year-old Sinclair has plenty of pace, skill and is a goal-threat from either wing or down the middle. The former Chelsea man’s flexibility will add an extra goal threat to the Everton squad while he will want to show City boss Roberto Mancini what he has been leaving on the bench.
