Another Agent Has Something To Say (Video)

Wesley Sneijder chose to stay with Inter Milan because Manchester United wouldn’t meet his £200,000 a week pay demands but now there has been an ironic twist as the Italian side want the play maker to lower his wage.

The Dutchman was constantly linked with a move to Manchester in 2011 as the ideal replacement for Paul Scholes but eventually no move ever materialised. As ever with players these days, Sneijder’s agent has let everybody know that his client is open to moving to England.

Lerby told BBC Sport: “He is absolutely not interested in QPR and we haven’t heard directly from anyone there.

“England probably has the top league in Europe, so it could appeal, but Wes would want to play for a top team.”

Lerby added: “Wesley is one of the best midfielders in Europe. He is fully recovered from injury and just loves to play football, so we need to find a solution to his situation with Inter.

“It’s a very, very strange situation for all of us. We should know a lot more in the next week to 10 days.”

Sneijder hasn’t played for Inter Milan since September due to the on-going contract dispute and he is searching a move away from the San Siro to secure first team football.

However, as with United last summer and with Milan now, wage demands will be a stumbling block.

Like Harry Redknapp said this week “he’s on about £200,000 a week

This backheel is pretty good but is it worth all that money?
