5 players to watch in the Africa Cup of Nations 2013

There is something truly magical about the Africa Cup of Nations. It tends to be the most colourful, intriguing and often the most anticipated competition outside of European football because of the florescent differences that transpire. From the bands in the crowds boasting a wealth of instruments to create that easy-going party vibe to the masses of trickery you see on the field, it has become a must-see for so many football fans across the globe.

We have seen so many players propel into the spotlight off the back of their Cup of Nations performances and have earned themselves big-money moves, but the players’ passion to represent their nations in their home competition is not often shared by their club managers, especially in the Premier League. How often do we see a top team in the English topflight completely ripped apart because of the fact that a number of their best players are travelling to Africa to compete?
