These days Chelsea are looked upon with much hatred and jealousy because of the amount of money their mega-rich owner Roman Abramovic has thrown at the club. The millions of pounds that he has pumped into the club was, and still is to some, seen as the start of the end for football. The enormous wages, the humongous transfer fees and the ruthlessness of stealing players with the lure of the money has given the club a bad name.

However, if you look deeper than the Russian’s wallet, although that is rather deep, then you will realise the club is steeped with real values.

They haven’t always been title winning, champions of Europe. No, they have lingered down in the lower divisions like most of us over the years and have had to pull themselves up to where they are now.
