Well, there is of course the prospect of Cristiano Ronaldo facing his old team-mates and the old rivalry between managers Jose Mourinho and Sir Alex Fersguson.
If the game is anything like the last two teams met in the competition in 2003, when the real (fat) Ronaldo scored a truly brilliant hat-trick to help Madrid advance, then we are in for a treat.
