The great procession of talented Brazilian players continues as Vasco Da Gama centre back Dede emerges as one of the footballing world’s bright young talents.
A quick, powerful and versatile centre back who can also play sweeper, Dede is hot property in Brazil and has already won a number of accolades for his work on the football pitch.
Standing at a mighty six foot three, Dede is commanding in the air and has formed a solid partnership with Anderson Martins as Dede won Best Right Centre Back award in Brasilerio Seria A.
Dede has also featured for the Brazilian national team and at the age of 24 had drawn wide acclaim as not only one of the best centre backs in Brasilerio Serie A but also in the country.
A fan favourite, Dede is considered one of Brazil’s best young talents and has received the brilliant nickname Dedeckenbauer, a tribute to his likeness of the great Franz Backenbauer who was a pioneer of the sweeper position.
The young man will only continue to improve and feature more prominently in Brazil’s national squad set up. He will surely be on the radar of some of Europe’s top clubs but it appears that he is revelling in his role at Vasco Da Gama where he enjoys the respect of fans and team-mates alike.
Remember Dede, though, because one way or another, whether it be internationally or domestically, you will see him on the biggest stages, such is the man’s talent.
