Where does Adam Le Fondre’s future lie?

With Le Fondre arguably being massively underused by Brian McDermott and fighting for his place under new boss, Nigel Adkins, where will he be playing his football next season? Adkins is adamant he is part of Reading’s first XI

With only one start since Nigel Adkins started his regime at Reading, Le Fondre recently voiced his doubts of where his future lies next season with Leeds vying for him and newly promoted Cardiff, Adkins has recently reaffirmed he will be a starting striker at the club, i presume it’s because he’s new to star role in the club, the new manager is testing the waters and trying to use his squad and get the feel for them as a whole. At only 26 years old and an obvious eye for goal, he should be coming into the peak of his footballing career and he is playing second fiddle to Pavel Pogrebnyak who is patchy to say the least, and Jason Roberts will be back into intention once he returns from his rehabilitation from hip surgery to fix a reoccurring injury, so i can understand Adam’s frustration, i would be if i was in his position.

With 12 goals this term and crucial ones to say the least, one being the winner against Chelsea earlier in the season, he is clearly a talented number 9, who won’t drop deep and spray balls wide, but he will be an option in the box and his record this season states he will score. Adam Glenville Le Fondre, with his pretentious full name and eye for goal, I genuinely think he is a underused and underrated player and would be a decent addition to whoever signs him, albeit, Adkins admit there are no issues with the front man & will play a part in the survival this season, but I think he will be at a different team next season.
