Manchester City are expecting to have a serious clear out this summer in order to refresh their Premier League title hunt, and one of the first names expected out the door is Edin Dzeko.
The giant Bosnian striker was in prolific form in the early stages of the season but lost his way in front of goal soon after and he has found it difficult to find form with Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero the competition up top.
Tevez himself has expressed his desire to leave Manchester once and for all despite the club claiming that it won’t happen, and Dzeko has been expected to strike a deal with German giants Borussia Dortmund.
However, a twist in the transfer tale now as Juventus have turned their attention to the lanky forward. With Fernando Llorente already agreeing to joining the Italian Old Lady in the summer Dzeko would have a fight on his hands to claim his place in the starting line up.
But if the City man was to make the switch to Turin it would mean a move for Mirko Vucinic in the other direction, only to the red half of Manchester rather than the blue.
Roberto Mancini had better have a strong back up plan to compensate the lack of goals and the potential lack of options in his frontline for when the season comes knocking.
