Manchester United £65m target open to move

Cristiano Ronaldo has apparently revealed that he would be interested in ditching Real Madrid for the chance to play at Manchester United again.

The 28-year-old left Old Trafford for a whopping £80m in 2009 and has established himself as one of the best players on the planet, but after a year of sulking and crying that he wants to leave the Spanish capital a move could be closing in.

This week Fergie took a time out from drinking his expensive wine and told the press that a marquee signing is on the cards this summer, but was coy on who that would be.

Some suggest that it is Gareth Bale, but Real Madrid chiefs will certainly have something to say about that. Some have suggested that it is Luka Modric, but those who are fans of Coronation street aren’t keen on Gail platt playing alongside Michael Carrick in the middle of the pitch.

Cristiano Ronaldo would be an ideal fit at Manchester United. With Nani on his way out and Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia having a mixed season this time out, Ronaldo would provide the Old Trafford wide berths with an abundance of excitement.

The measly sum of £65m is said to be enough to secure talks with the greasy Portuguese forward but he faces stern competition if he fancies a spot in the central positions with Anderson *scoff*. I joke, I joke.
