It’s pharaoh to say there’s a lot of interest surrounding one of Africa’s most sought after youngsters.
Premier League clubs Chelsea and Manchester United would rather race than walk like an Egyptian to bag 19-year-old centre-half Ramy Rabia according to Sky Sports.
They join Borussia Dortmund, Schalke and Lille who have already shown a keen interest in the defender, who will lead Egypt at next month’s U-20 World Cup in Turkey before deliberating a move in the summer.
The impressive teen, who will turn 20 on Monday, made his club debut at just 17 breaking into native side Al Ahly’s first team already gaining five senior caps for Egypt.
Ramy proved himself worthy when he made his African Debut in the 2011 CAF Champions league showing great pizzazz as one of the best sweepers in the club’s history.
It is believed that the latest hot property, who has recently signed with leading agents SEM, has favoured a move to England.
An SEM spokesman confirmed the keen attention : “A number of clubs have expressed an interest, but at the moment Ramy is looking forward to the Under-20 World Cup.”
Either way, Ramy’s future looks as bright as the African sun.
