Premier League clubs miss out as £10m target nears Germany switch

We all know of the history between Manchester United and Liverpool and their bitter hatred of one another, but while they battled it out to secure the services of Ajax playmaker Christian Eriksen another club has swooped in and apparently become favourites to capture him. Borussia Dortmund are the party I mention as talkSPORT report that a £10m switch is nearing.

Let’s be honest, would you rather play for a club with a chance of winning silverware in one of the most exciting leagues in Europe or join a league in decline with a club who have no hope of winning the league? And before you Liverpool fans start moaning about your history *places headphones* just remember you are not even in Europe next season.

Barcelona, Arsenal and Tottenham are all said to have been interested in the 21-year-old talent over the past few months but the hole which is being left by Mario Gotze at the Westfalenstadion makes him an ideal summer buy for BVB.

Don’t worry United fans, you keep harking on about how Tom Cleverley is the most talented youngster in the world…

The five-year deal that is being offered to the Denmark international is far too tempting for him to turn down despite the lure of the Europa League from Spurs.
