Mark Hughes lines up first signing as Stoke manager
With images already appearing of banners demanding Mark Hughes out of Stoke City, before he was even appointed as manager, but if he changes their torrid ways of playing football then surely they can’t detest the man. As long as he keeps them up, that is.
Well, it hasn’t been long since his new role was confirmed but he’s already starting to make additions to his squad according to The Fulham Chronicle, with Queens Park Rangers winger Junior Hoilet the first on the list.
The reports suggest that beansprout Peter Crouch will be used as a makeweight in the deal, we all know how much Harry Redknapp loves Crouch, in order to start moulding his Potters squad.
Now I don’t know about you, but if you were trying to convince your fans that you will keep them in the Premier League then signing a player who has been relegated the last two campaigns probably isn’t the best way to go about it, is it?
Hoilet was part of the Blackburn Rovers squad that went down the season before last and also the QPR team that finished at the foot of the table, so he is hardly a lucky charm.
Maybe the 22-year-old should try his hand at the Championship.
