3 Premier League strikers that Liverpool can replace Luis Suarez with – statistics and videos

With the depature of Luiz Suarez almost certain this summer, Liverpool will have the task of replacing the Uruguay international. Here are three candidates from the Premier League and why a move to Anfield could be on the cards.

Carlos Tevez

Premier League Games: 34

Goals: 11

Shot Accuracy: 53%

Manchester United fans must have had enough of the Argentine forward. First he decides against extending his contract with them in favour of a move to rivals Manchester City, and now he is being linked with a switch to their much hated enemies Liverpool.

He has continually pledged his desire to move closer to Argentina where his family still reside and his goal scoring tallies have already suggested his preference to home soil, so now linked with a move to Liverpool it will be interesting to see what he decides if true.

Romelu Lukaku

Premier League Games: 35

Goals: 17

Shot Accuracy: 66%

The Chelsea man spent the entirety of last season and made an incredible impact. His 17 goals saw West Brom flirt with the big boys of the league on numerous occasions and they will be in a cold sweat trying to replace him next season.

Jose Mourinho has suggested that he feels the Belgian is ready to come into the first team in west London but if he secures a deal for Edinson Cavani then chances will be limited and another season away from Stamford Bridge might be profitable for all parties.

Christian Benteke

Premier League Games: 34

Goals:  19

Shot Accuracy: 60%

Aston Villa will have a tough time attempting to persuade Benteke to stay in the Midlands after he scored 19 goals to pull them away from relegation. His power, pace and sheer desire has seen him rip Premier League defences apart, including Liverpool’s, and it is thought to be his preference to move to a club either in European competitions or ready to challenge for them.

Talks are supposedly ongoing between the club, Benteke’s agent and the forward himself, but a partnership with Daniel Sturridge has all the makings to be a special one.
