According to Goal.com, Borussia Dortmund are still in the hunt for Chelsea forward Kevin De Bruyne as they search for a replacement for Mario Gotze, who was sold to Bayern Munich this summer. The Belgian spent last season on loan at Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen and impressed immensely but it is uncertain whether or not he will feature in Jose Mourinho’s plans after the club snapped up Bayer Leverkusen man Andres Schurrle. The Blues already have Oscar, Juan Mata, Eden Hazard and Victor Moses who can play in the forward positions behind the centre-forward so a sale may very well be on.
Across the capital it seems as though Arsenal are still in negotiations with the spectacular-haired French full-back Bacary Sagna. The 30-year-old is thought to be on his way to his homeland this summer with Paris Saint-Germain or recently-promoted Monaco, but Gunners may be seeing him galloping down the flanks next season yet. The Express are reporting Sagna of saying: “We are still talking. I never said I wanted to leave the club, but there are some journalists who want to speculate as I have just one year to go. The fact is that I am still at Arsenal and I am looking forward to playing next season.”
Heading up north it appears that Everton will miss out on Toulouse man Etienne Capoue as Monaco continue to splash their millions. Numerous clubs are said to be interested in securing a deal for the midfielder but Monaco have been left laughing as they have the money to out-bid the lot.
It must be nice, eh?
