With the BBC reporting that Chelsea are currently in talks with Vitesse and Netherlands midfielder Marco van Ginkel we have taken it upon ourselves to conjure up 10 facts about the 20-year-old for Blues fans to sink their teeth into.
1) Van Ginkel was born in Amersfoot in Holland and was snapped up by Vitesse aged just seven years old.
2) He made his debut for the club aged 17 back in 2010 coming on as a substitute in the 67th minute against RKC Waalwijk.
3) He has now appeared 111 times for Vitesse and scored 23 goals for the club.
4) Van Ginkel has represented the Netherland at U19 and U21 and was instrumental in his countries performances in the recent U21 European Championship.
5) He has won one cap for the senior side, which was a 0-0 with Germany in November 2012.
6) Van Ginkel was named as Dutch Football Talent of the Year last season for his sublime performances for his club.
