A Look At The Manchester United Defender Who May Be On Juventus’ Shopping List

Manchester United beware – apparently Juventus have not finished in the current transfer window. Their shopping list of players might conclude with Serbia international Nemanja Vidic.

The current backline for the Bianconeri consists of Giorgio Chiellini, Andrea Barzagli or Leonardo Bonucci, Stephan Lichsteiner and Martin Caceres. Keep that in mind – in my opinion, if the Manchester United defender should arrive to the Italian champions, he will complete one of the sturdiest unites in Europe.

The 31-year-old was scheduled to play an international friendly match with the Foxtel A-League All-stars in Australia but was kept in England as a precautionary measure as he was injured.

The Serbian star has been with the Red Devils for seven seasons now and has been one of the major backbones in the United defence, along with Rio Ferdinand. He has also bagged 15 goals in 186 appearances – a respectable return from a centre-back.

Anything could happen in these last days of the transfer window for Manchester United, as there is also drama brewing in regards to English international striker Wayne Rooney. There are whispers that he will no longer be at the club next season, with Chelsea supposedly being the likely suitors.

Once a blue, and all that…

As for Vidic, I firmly believe that he will be a major purchase if Juventus decide to pursue the deal.
