Are Manchester United Right To Try And Offload Winger?

Amongst the magnitude of great signings that Sir Alex Ferguson made during his tenure at Old Trafford, he also made some dud ones. The ones that spring to mind for most are Eric Djemba-Djemba, Kleberson and more recently Bebe, and it’s the latter who we will be looking at in this piece. Goal.com have reported that the chiefs at United are still looking to offload the winger despite him joining Portuguese side Pacos de Ferreira on a season-long loan.

My feeling before the transfer window was that Moyes should have loaned him to a Premier League side to give him a feel of the English topflight but also present him with the chance to repair his tarnished reputation which he has in the country.

Bebe has made seven appearances for the Red Devils since his move to Old Trafford in 2010 for a reported fee of €9m, which isn’t an awful record. But it’s the fact that he’s still earning €30,000-a-week in wages despite only making two league appearances that’s apparently causing upset at the club.

According to Goal, United will pay the flop €2.9m in wages should he see out the two years left on his deal, which nobody wants. Except him and his agent, of course!

United fans, what do you think of the situation? Should United officials find the Portugal U21 wide-man a new club or give him a final chance when he returns next summer?
