A closer look at Toni Kroos
For my last video I want to talk more in depth about one of my top 10 favourite players in Europe at the moment. The Bayern Munich man oozes class and quality which is what I adore about him. With Bayern signing Mario Gotze and Thiago Alcantara, his place in the team has come under increasing threat. If he is dislodged from the team, in my opinion, he’s too good to be a back up. This is an Arsene Wenger style signing, potentially available and the possibility to get him at a reduced price due to his contract expiring in the summer of 2015. Bayern will not want Kroos to enter the final year of his contract with teams prowling around him.
His stats are far less impressive than Marco Reus’s as he only has two assists to his name in all competitions this season. Last season he had better luck in front of goal as he scored six as well as assisting eight in the Bundesliga. He added three more to his tally in the Champions League. However, he did spend some of last season on the sidelines with an injury. Not a new phenomenon by any stretch of the imagination.
He’s a very good player. Efficient is the best way of describing him, which is the way of the Germans. Brilliant at keeping the ball. Has an air of creativity about him, like he can produce a chance out of nothing. He’s a hard worker, dedicated to his team mates and the cause.
I adore him as a player and I think a lot more people should. Hopefully this video goes someway to helping the realisation.
