Not only have the west London club been linked with almost every forward in world football, but his midfield would have been about 1,000-man strong if all the rumours had transpired. So, continuing the trend, here is another midfileder who the Portuguese coach is supposedly chasing.

Gianelli Imbula of Marseille is the man I refer to, as talkSPORT suggest that he is wanted at Stamford Bridge. The Belgium-born, Conoglese citizen who plays his international football from France – yep, you read that correctly – will supposedly be the subject of a January bid from the Blues.

A powerful midfielder with the ball retention of an wise old Regista, Imbula would be a welcome addition to Chelsea. Not only does he hold the energy levels of Ramires, but he can explode forward into the box like a younger Frank Lampard.

Standing at 6ft1, the 21-year-old has plenty of presence about him. But a twist in the tale is that he only joined his Ligue 1 employers this summer, which puts question over the entire thing.
