We are now six games into the Premier League season, so here are 5 things we’ve learnt.
1) Manchester City away away away
Despite their rampant form at the Etihad, City’s away record has plagued them over the past few years, and this season has been no different. So far this season they’re yet to win away from home, despite travelling to lesser clubs – Cardiff, Stoke and Aston Villa.
2) Arsenal’s tropy-less season could be ending
It seems crazy, but Arsene Wenger has the Gunners firing and sit top of the Premier League. They also sit top of their Champions League group after winning their first two games. It couldn’t be, could it?
3) Brendan Rodgers has Liverpool firing
After setting the foundations last season, Brendan Rodgers has started to see the results in his Liverpool squad. After topping the table in the early stages they now sit just behind Arsenal, and are playing silky football to go with it.
4) Spurs can cope without Bale
The transfer that shook the world in the summer has been put to bed. Andre Villas-Boas has reinvested the money quietly and now has a squad worthy of a top four finish. Can they do it?
5) The post-Fergie era will take time
David Moyes has found it difficult so far at the helm of Manchester United and the Old Trafford side have had their worst ever start to the Premier League season.
