10 Players Arsenal Should Consider Offloading

Here are 10 players I believe Arsene Wenger should look to offload, wither in January or in the summer. In no particular order:

1) Lukasz Fabianksi

The Polish shot-stopper is out of sorts at the Emirates and is unlikely to get a start anywhere down the line. With Szczesny and Viviano in his way, it is time for the 28-year-old to leave.

2) Thomas Vermaelen

The Belgian has been plagued with injuries and has dropped down to third in the pecking order. Arsene Wenger should be looking to move him on, as long as they can get a stronger, younger model.

3) Nicklas Bendtner

The self-confessed best striker in the world is far from that – he’s awful. He offers nothing to the side and has no future at the club. Whether or not they can find a new home for him is a different matter.

4) Ryo Miyaichi

The young Japan international is a promising young player, but it’s unlikely that Wenger sees him as a key part of the squad. After three lengthy loan spells the 20-year-old should find a new permanent home.

5) Emmanuel Frimpong

Although we;ve not seen a huge deal from him in an Arsenal shirt, he has done nothing to suggest that he will ever be a first team regular. His time in north London is limited. Or at least at the Emirates, at least.

6) Park Chu-Young

The South Korea international spent last year on loan at Celta Vigo and has just one league appearance to his name at Arsenal. If he doesn’t feature at 28 years of age, then when is he?

7) Abou Diaby

I think it’s about time Wenger gave up on this sick-note. His ability is clear when he plays, but that’s not very often. His wages would be better spent elsewhere.

8) Johan Djourou

It’s easy to forget about the defender, especially as he is on loan at Bundesliga side Hamburg. After spells at Birmingham, Hannover and now his current side, it’s unlikely that he will ever represent Arsenal again. Or at least the fans hope not.

9) Joel Campbell

At 21 this was the perfect time to go on loan to a Premier League side to get some experience under his belt. However, he opted for Olympiacos and with it ended his hopes as a first team player for the Gunners, in my opinion.

10)Benik Afobe

Another one who has run his course in the youth sides and reserves, as well as going out on loan to secure playing time. Afobe is now 20 and at a crossroads in his career, but I think he needs to admit that his future at the club is bleak.
