3 Players Manchester City Should Look To Send On Loan In January

Manuel Pellegrini finds his Manchester City side fifth in the table after seven Premier League games, and he is slowly starting to form his strongest team. Bearing that in mind, here are three players who City should look to send out on loan in January, in my opinion.

1) Jack Rodwell

The midfielder has talent, but he needs a run of games to show it – He won’t get that at City with Yaya Toure, Fernandinho and Javi Garcia sitting there.

At 22, Rodwell needs to be playing games and a loan to a fellow Premier League side for a while will do him the world of good. Potentially, anyway.

2) John Guidetti

The 21-year-old is a highly sought after forward after his 20 goals in 23 games for Dutch outfit Feyenoord but he is currently rusting in the reserves. A full Sweden international, Guidetti should be out on loan learning his trade to have a chance of making it at the top.

With Sergio Aguero, Alvaro Negredo and Stevan Jovetic all available to Manuel Pellegrini, as well as Bosnian Edin Dzeko, it’s unlikely that Guidetti will feature.

3) Dedryck Boyata

There was a time when the Belgian defender was a key player in the City side, but now at 22 he finds himself in limbo. He has spent time at Bolton and FC Twente, which will have taught him how important it is to play games, especially if he wants a place in the Belgium side going to next year’s World Cup.
