5 Championship Players Ready For The Premier League

Here are five players I think are ready for the Premier League, but find themselves in the Championship.

1) Tom Ince – Blackpool

The Seasiders’ winger has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs because of his fine form, but as of yet nothing has happened. His contract runs out at the end of the season and a move to higher ground looks on the cards.

Ince claimed 14 assists last season – the most in the league.

2) Leonardo Ulloa – Brighton

Since his move from Almeria las January and transormed the Seagulls from mid-table floaters to promotion chasers. He has so far scored 13 goals in 21 games and has the rough and ready style needed to cut the mustard in the Premier League.

He has the technique, the composure and the readiness in the air that Sunderland need right now, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Gus Poyet made a swoop for his former striker.

3) Jordan Rhodes – Blackburn

His £8m move has been followed by 37 goals in 59 games for Rovers and three in 11 for Scotland. Should Blackburn fail to gain promotion to the topflight this season then you’d guess that he would be picked up by an already-Premier League side.

Rhodes has already scored nine goals in 11 games this season.

4) Nedum Onuoha – Queens Park Rangers

Although most of his career has been in the topflight, he know finds himself in the second division, albeit plying his trade with the leaders. Rangers’ defence has been incredible this season and it’s likely that he’ll be a topflight player yet again next season, with QPR or not.

5) Joey Barton – Queens Park Rangers

Although he’s a bit of a wally off the pitch, he’s still a quality player on it. He has averaged 66 passes per game this season and has made 23 tackles.
