I do love a good match compilation. No matter who it is or how long it may be, match compilations are my favourite things to watch on YouTube. As I am part of the massive socially active world we call Twitter, I often come across videos that the people I follow have made or shared so that they somehow appear on my timeline. Regardless of all this, I am often treated to seeing a whole variety of videos. Some well made, some not so much.
This match compilation is of one of Mesut Ozil’s more quiet games in an Arsenal shirt. No goals or assists were claimed, but overall his performance was tidy and yet again showed glimpses of why Wenger paid over £40 million to land him.
West Brom fought hard and really earned the draw because they put Arsenal under pressure quite a lot and could have easily won the match had their strikers been more clinical. However, the same could be said about Arsenal as, although at times West Brom were on top, the Gunners seemed to have control of the match as a whole.
This draw meant Arsenal kept up their fine form this season and remained at the summit of the Barclays Premier League table. West Brom maintained their good form as well after they defeated Manchester United 2-1 the week before.
Spirits were high in both these camps after this game, not something that is said often.
Enjoy the video.
