It’s happy days at Arsenal right now as the Gunners sit proudly on top of the Premier League. Arsenal opened up a two point gap with their thrashing over Norwich thanks to Newcastle holding second placed-Liverpool to a 2-2 draw, despite the Magpies playing out most of the game with 10 men. The sharp, offensive passing sparked huge discussion across the nation as they sunk into their chairs to watch Match of the Day, and there was one man who was at the centre of it; Aaron Ramsey.
The Wales international earned the Emirates side a two goal cushion with an incredibly-composed solo effort moments before putting the ball on a plate for Germany international Mesut Ozil to round off the scoring.
Ramsey completed 51/57 of his attempted passes and generally kept the game ticking for the home side. He completed 5/5 of his take ons and three tackles, and sparked numerous attacks, to continue what he has been doing all season.
It seems incredible that the 22-year-old is the same player that we have grown to know, but it’s pleasing to see a young Brit taking the Premier League by storm.
He has scored nine goals in 12 games in all competitions this season while completing 86% of his passes and winning 64% and continues to prove to the doubters that he can cut the mustard with the big boys.
