If I had to choose a starting 11 combining the players from Liverpool and Everton, this would be it. What would be yours?
Simon Mignolet – Liverpool – GK
The Belgian has had a successful start to his life in Merseyside since switching from Sunderland, keeping three clean sheets from eight.
Glen Johnson – Liverpool – RB
Although Seamus Coleman is having a cracking season so far, Johnson pips the space for me. He has established himself as one of the finest full-backs in the Premier League.
Sylvain Distain – Everton – CB
The big Frenchman has now played more games than any other foreign player in the English topflight and he is thriving under Roberto Martinez.
Kolo Toure – Liverpool – CB
His move from Manchester City proved that he still has a lot to offer, and he has done so at Anfield. He has played all across the backline so far and won 11/14 of his tackles.
Leighton Baines – Everton – LB
The best left-back in the Premier League in my opinion. Baines has already crafter 12 key passes and scored two goals this season.
Steven Gerrard – Liverpool – CM
One of the finest English midfielders of my generation, if not the finest. Gerrard has dropped back slightly this season and is excelling.
Ross Barkley – Everton – CM
We are finally starting to see what the young man is about, and he is doing it in some style. He has scored two goals and created nine opportunities.
Luis Suarez – Liverpool – RAM
Fitting all the forward talent into one side is difficult, so Suarez has to make to with a wide role. One of the best players in the league, he will interchange at will.
Philippe Coutinho – Liverpool – CAM
Another creative outlet who can float around the wider areas. The Liverpool trio will be incredible support for the big man up top.
Daniel Sturridge – Liverpool – LAM
The Premier League’s top scorer is being moved to a wider role in my side, though he will be pushed inside whenever possible.
Romelu Lukaku – Everton – ST
Providing the strength, the physical presence and the all round focal point to my side, Romelu Lukaku.
