Was Questioning Manchester United A Good Move By Yaya Toure?

Manchester United stuttered out of the starting blocks this season and fell to their worst start in Premier League history. The departure of Sir Alex Ferguson was something that not many had prepared for and the glory that supporters had been blessed with was always going to make it harder for David Moyes to make a name for himself. The Scot came in and came under fire early after losing to Liverpool, Manchester City and West Brom, and opponents have obviously been taking note.

A story published in the Mirror today quotes Manchester City powerhouse Yaya Toure questioning whether or not United can overcome their bad start, saying: “United will find it hard to defend the title since they have a new manager and are really struggling.”

But was it smart move by the Ivorian?

Not only are United now unbeaten in six games, but now they have a key player of their bitter rivals questioning their ability. What more could Moyes want to motivate his players?

The form of Wayne Rooney and the capability of Robin van Persie is likely to fire them up the league over the next few months, but they are also looking as though other areas of the team can chip in with the goals.

Adnan Januzaj has scored a couple of beauties, while both Phil Jones and Fabio scored in United’s latest outing against Norwich.

The fans are starting to believe, the players look as though they are starting to believe and the comments from Toure is likely to fuel the fire in the Red Devils’ bellies even further.

Good move by Toure? Not in my eyes.
