A Look At Manchester United’s 5 Most Creative Players This Season

After 10 games of the current Premier League title Manchester United sit eight in the table. Here are the club’s five most creative players this season in the league, based on key passes and assists.

1) Patrice Evra

The Frenchman has had a fine start to the season amidst rumours of his exit and he is currently the United player who has made the most key passes. While the nation still wait for David Moyes to try and lure Leighton Baines to the club in the new year, Evra has gone about his business brilliantly and carved 16 opportunities.

2) Wayne Rooney

Rooney’s form has picked up this season after Moyes pushed him back up top – the 28-year-old has scored five goals in nine Premier League games – and he remains the creative outlet in the United attack. Rooney has made 12 key passes this term and claimed three assists.

3) Michael Carrick

The pass-master has completed 87% of his passes this season, 12 of which have been key. The England international injects a sense of composure into the central areas and is the one who often breaks up opponent attacks, but he has proved that he can also split a defence with a pass.

4) Nani

Although the Portuguese winger has come under some stick this season, from myself as well, he has created nine chances in his five league appearances.

5) Antonio Valencia

The wide man has played eight games this season and racked up six key passes. His bullish approach may not be the most popular approach for some, but he continues to be a threat from the flank.
