After 10 games of the Premier League season we take a look at the five players who have averaged the most dribbles this season, according to WhoScored.
1) Andros Townsend – Tottenham
The man that everyone is talking about right now, Townsend has proved a massive hit so far this season. His form for both club and country has seen his name rise to prominence and his willingness to run at opponents is turning him into a real fan favourite. The 22-year-old has averaged 5.7 dribbles per game this season over his nine games.
2) Luis Suarez – Liverpool
Although Suarez was a hate figure over the summer after biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic and declaring his desire to leave Merseyside, but he’s back in form and fans are starting to forgive him. The South American has averaged 3.2 dribbles per game.
3) Nani – Manchester United
Although some fans aren’t convinced that he is good enough for the Old Trafford outfit, the Portuguese winger has averaged 3.2 dribbles per game this season during his five appearances.
4) Ross Barkley – Everton
Another young star now in the shape of Barkley. The England international has been in blistering form this term and his direct performances have led to defences looking foolish. He has averaged 3.1 dribbles per game.
5) Stephane Sessegnon – West Brom
For me, Sunderland letting go of the Benin international was a huge mistake. He has thrived at his new club and averaged 3 dribbles per game, as well as scoring once and claiming an assist in six games.
