Arsenal are enjoying a fine season at present but there is always room for improvement. Here are three players that I would like to see the Gunners sign in January to boost their title hopes.
1) Luis Suarez – Liverpool
There was supposed interest in the summer but was overshadowed by Arsene Wenger offering £1 over Liverpool’s valuation of the South American, and nothing transpired. Although Suarez now looks to be enjoying himself at Anfield this season – he’s scored eight goals in just six games so far – should Arsenal command top spot by the end of the new year then maybe, just maybe the Uruguay international could be tempted.
It would be a major blow to a title rival, also.
2) Fernando Llorente – Juventus
The powerful Spaniard is struggling to get a look in at Juventus this season with the number of options the Turin side have up top, and it’s been said that he could be open to a loan move to the Emirates to recapture some form ahead of the World Cup next year.
The 28-year-old has scored twice in three games in the Champions League, as well as scoring twice in nine games (only one full game).
3) Fabian Schar – Basel
For a more detailed scouting report on the Switzerland international, see here, but he could really reinforce the Arsenal backline.
