Is Andres Iniesta The Man That Manchester United Should Be Putting Their Efforts Into Signing?

Andres Iniesta is a man who is used to winning things. With 20 major trophies with Barcelona, a European Championship  and a World Cup, as well as a host of individual accolades, the Spaniard isn’t used to playing second fiddle to anyone, or anything. However, with reports that the 29-year-old has still not signed an extension at Camp Nou it got me thinking whether or not he is what Manchester United need, after the Red Devils were linked with a move for him back in the summer.

What United need right now, in my opinion, is a ball carrier, who bursts up the field with the ball at his feet, inviting others into play – something which Iniesta is an expert at.

He has completed 91% of his passes this season in La Liga while making 14 key passes, but he has also made another 10 in the Champions League.

He is creative, efficient and incredibly confident in possession and that’s why I think he could be the man to drive United to the title.

He may have a shock swapping Lionel Messi, Neymar and Xavi for the likes of Anderson, Tom Cleverley and Danny Welbeck, though!
