Arsenal currently possess one of the most impressive midfield selections in the country. Arsene Wenger has Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta, Matheiu Flamini and Tomas Rosicky in the central areas, and Santi Cazorla and Theo Walcott on the wings, with Lukas Podolski and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain still to return from injury. But according to the Metro, the French manager is ready to add to that with West Brom’s Youssouf Mulumbu being a target.
The 26-year-old is a real powerhouse in the middle of the Baggies side and has excelled over the last year at the Hawthorns. He has appeared in all 13 of West Brom’s games this season and averaged six defensive actions per outing.
He has won 17/22 of his take ons and more notably completed 86% of his passes. He is a strong player who patrols the pitch in front of the back four and uses his physique to wrestle opponents of the ball.
He’s also a technically gifted player, too, as he has made eight key passes so far this term.
It could be a case of little and large should he make a switch to the Emirates. Mathieu Flamini isn’t the most imposing player in the world but should you have him and Mulumbu harrying you while you are on the ball then it would be quite a panicking thought.
