Manchester United are firmly set in crisis mode. The Red Devils are currently being picked apart by the entire nation and their dog right now after losing twice in a matter of days at Old Trafford without scoring a single goal. Now, as David Moyes feels the red half of Manchester sat on his shoulders, the Daily Star say that Kevin Strootman could well be a target for Manchester United in January.
The Roma midfielder is an energetic player who loves to burst up and down the pitch. He has played in all but one of the Italian side’s games in Serie A this season and has been crucial to their success – they have still not lost in their 15 outings.
He has made 23 key passes, five of which have been accredited as assists, and completed 88% of his attempted balls. He’s still only 23, too, and would be a huge asset to Moyes’ squad.
He holds a deft touch and often looks for the killer ball but is more than happy to knock it to those around him to keep the game moving.
He’s also displayed his defensive abilities this term, averaging four defensive actions per game and winning 57% of his headers and over half of his tackles.
Should Moyes and the United hierarchy manage to land his services then he has the quality to drag the Old Trafford side up the table.
