THREE Arsenal Players Who Should Be Dropped After Manchester City Loss

Yesterday’s lunchtime game between Manchester City and Arsenal showed us some incredible action. The home side ran out 6-3 winners, and although the scoreline may have flattered the Citizens, Arsenal have a number of individuals that they can point for some of the blame. Here are three players who I think should be dropped for the Gunners’ game with Chelsea next time out.

1) Jack Wilshere

The England international wasn’t at all near his best in the clash at the Etihad and it will probably cost him his place for the tie against Chelsea next week.

He had two shots, one which was appalling, and he won just one of his five attempted take ons. He was also caught dithering on the ball on occasions and it lead to Manchester City scoring.

2) Nacho Monreal

The Spaniard was brought in at left-back in place of Kieran Gibbs and was ripped apart by Jesus Navas and the like. Monreal attempted three crosses, none of which met their target, while being caught out positionally a number of times.

3) Mathieu Flamini

Flamini struggled to get a foothold int he game and was overpowered, out-passed and generally outplayed by the City partnership of Fernandinho and Yaya Toure. Going up against Ramires and Michael Essien, potentially, could end in the same result.

Flamini made just 36 passes, lost his only headed battle and looked out of sorts before being hooked in the 72nd minute.
