Every player grows up dreaming about either playing for, or beating Manchester United. That’s why it’s so difficult for the Red Devils to pick up any type of form right now. David Moyes has come in and their fear factor has dampened, and opponents are no longer afraid to play out their dreams. We saw it at Hull on Boxing day, where the Tigers went 2-0 up inside the first 15 minutes, and if not for an own goal they probably would’ve got something from the game. Next up for United is Norwich, who themselves have a point to prove. So, as a belated Christmas present to Moyes, here are a few things that I would do if I was in charge tomorrow.
Firstly, I would opt for Javier Hernandez over Danny Welbeck. Norwich have conceded 31 goals this term in the Premier League and 29 of those have come from inside the box, something which the little Mexican could exploit.
Secondly, I would reshuffle the midfield so it looked like this: Tom Cleverley and Darren Fletcher in the more defensive places, with Wayne Rooney in the free role and two nippy wingers on each side.
Then, I would look to attack from the off, as the Canaries will surely be up for the game. Should United start on top then it could frustrate Chris Hughton’s men and cause them to collapse beneath them.
There is my two pence worth, what’s yours?
