Arsenal Could Land £32m Striker With 23 Goals In 23 Games – Here’s Why I Think He Would Win Them The Title

After reading this news, I went straight down to my local bookmakers and lumped a large amount of money on Arsenal winning the league. Reports from the Metro report that the north London club are ready to splash out on striker Diego Costa, who has scored 19 La Liga goals in 18 games. Here’s why I am so excited about the signing, despite the Atletico Madrid forward supposedly commanding a fee of up to £32m.

Not only is Costa a strong, bullish attacker, but he’s so nimble with the ball at his feet. As well as the goals – 23 in 23 games in all competitions for the Spaniards. Not only would he add some muscle into the Arsenal frontline, but he would also inject creativity into the ranks.

Costa has made 28 key passes this season, according to Squawka, and has had 49 shots on target in his 18 league games.

He has huge amounts of composure and can spin into space within a blink of an eye, making him a deadly player to go up against.

Why I expect so much from him should he join the Gunners is his tendencies to drop inside and collect the ball before sparking an attack or having a pop at goal. His attribute would combine beautifully with those already at the club, in my mind, and would fire the club to the Premier League title. I have a bet slip that backs that up, too.
