If there was one player in the Premier League who could be labelled as a warrior, then there would be no doubt it would this man. Nemanja Vidic has been a remarkable servant for Manchester United since he arrived from Spartak Moscow in 2006, playing almost 300 first team games and chipping in with 19 goals. Now though it looks to be his final season at Old Trafford, as his contract runs out at the end of the season and his agent has told the Daily Mail that he probably won’t be extending.
But what will his next club be getting from him?
The Serbia international is a combative centre-half who fears nothing. He has always been the enforcer to Rio Ferdinand’s composure and is always willing to throw himself into the thick of things.
So far this season Vidic has played 13 Premier League games and averaged 13 defensive actions per outing. He has won 64% of his tackles and a huge 73% of his 73 headed duels.
He’s also decent on the ball, which may surprise some, as he has completed 85% of his passes over all this season.
Whoever picks Vidic up will be getting a superb player, a willing soldier and someone who will better your defensive line no end.
All on a free as well!
