The Daily Express say that Arsenal have launched a £12.5m bid for Real Sociedad winger Antoine Griezmann, so I thought that I would put a few things together for the Arsenal fans. The Gunners currently have Theo Walcott on the right wing, although he is out for the rest of the season, and the likes of Santi Cazorla and Lukas Podolski on the left, but there is always room for talent depending on their capabilities. Here are five things that I think Gooners should know.
1) Born in France, Griezmann started his football in the youth ranks of UF Maconnais before switching his elegance to Spanish side Real Sociedad.
2) Since joining the club in 2009 Griezmann has played 177 games and scored 46 goals in that time.
3) He was part os the squad that won the second division back in the 2009/10 season, playing 40 games and scoring six goals.
4) This season the Frenchman has played 25 games in all competitions, 16 in the league, and has scored 14 goals.
5) Griezmann has progressed through the ranks in the France national side, starting with the U19 squad – playing seven goals, then eight games for the U21s and he has played 10 games for the senior side, scoring three.
