Manchester United: Why Mata And Kagawa Can Settle Red Devils’ Form

Two-time Chelsea Player of the Year, four major trophies in club football and a World Cup winner’s medal – Juan Mata is a born winner and has the accolades to prove it.

The Spanish playmaker is expected to complete his move to Manchester United in the near future, but contrary to what some believed, Japan international Shinji Kagawa looks to be staying put at Old Trafford. For me, it’s a cracking piece of business for the Red Devils, and  the pair hold the quality to turn round their shaky form.

United have been crying out for some creative quality and they don’t come much more inventive than the pair.

Both players can play wide or in the middle, and both players can  spark an attack from anywhere on the pitch with the least bit of warning. With Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini behind the pair, and Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Javier Jernandez in front, as well as Danny Welbeck, the dynamic duo could be the gelling agent between the two.

Both score goals – they grabbed 18 league goals between them last season and 26 altogether, and both provided a real creative hub.

Depending on the tactics that Moyes is looking to line his side up in, I fully believe that the pair can settle the Old Trafford side.
