Mario Balotelli – a player famous for his off-field shenanigans and on-field bust ups. The Italy international joined Manchester City in 2010 and instantly made a name for himself thanks to his outrageous personality, and though not all fans of the game approved of his fiery and sometimes childish attitude, there were plenty who did.
After three years at the Etihad he completed a deal to return to the San Siro, this time with AC Milan rather than Inter, and has a respectable return of 26 goals in 40 outings.
However, there are strong rumours of the forward returning to the Premier League, with Arsenal the suitors, but I think the Gunners should steer clear.
Arsene Wenger has guided his side to the summit of the English top tier for the majority of the season, and although they have recently let that lead slip to Chelsea, they are very much in the frame for the title.
The squad morale is supposedly high and the players look hungry to succeed, but by throwing one bad apple amongst that could undo all the hard work. I do believe that Olivier Giroud needs help and Wenger should provide that in the summer, but I don’t think the 23-year-old is the man to do that.
Instead, here are three strikers who I think the north London side should move for instead of Balotelli.
