Not Gundogan: Three Bundesliga Players Who Manchester United Should Look To Sign This Summer

Manchester United have had a season to forget this time round. In order to learn from that they will need to build in the summer, so here are three Bundesliga players they should be looking to sign.

1) Toni Kroos – Bayern Munich

Kroos is ideal for Manchester United, in my eyes, as he can hold on to the ball, he can spray passes around the pitch and can also provide energy and help glue the side together. He can tackle, he can score and is unselfish, which United need right now.

The fact that he is younger than Tom Cleverley still astounds me.

2) Marco Reus – Borussia Dortmund

United could do with a player who can play across the attacking positions and be as effective in every area. Reus offers that. With him, Kagawa and Mata behind Wayne Rooney I think that would be incredibly successful.

I’m not sure where it would leave Adnan Januzaj though.

3) Mats Hummels – Borussia Dortmund

He is a powerful defender who loves to play with the ball at his feet – similar to how Rio Ferdinand used to operate before he lost his touch, his speed and his positional sense. For me he should be snapped up as Dortmund aren’t doing too well this season.
