Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool are locked in a battle to lift this season’s Premier League title, and the former two are testing the nerve of current leaders Liverpool. Petr Cech, the Blues’ number 1 between the sticks, has given his two-pence worth and has questioned whether Brendan Rodgers’ men in regards to them securing their first Premier League trophy. I think he underestimates the strength of the Merseyside outfit.
Ahead of Chelsea’s visit to Anfield on the 27th, Cech said, “Let’s see how they cope when it comes to the last hurdle.
“We have players who played in big games. It is going to be a help for the next games.
“Sometimes when you have a young team around you, often they don’t feel any pressure. No one expected anything from Liverpool and they are in contention and that is why they play without pressure so far.”
I am confident that Liverpool will lift the trophy come the end of the season.
Rodgers has set up one of the most impressive structures seen in the topflight and is reaping the rewards of his trust in the youngsters.
Liverpool are the league’s top scorer with 93 goals and have the two top scoring individuals in Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge. They have a manager who knows exactly what he is doing and a set of fans that can’t be matched by many across the country.
Everything is set in place for the Reds to win the league, and I think they will. Petr Cech and those who are trying to damage their chances can sense their strength and I think it is a hint of fear.
