Tottenham MUST Keep Hold Of Eriksen – Here’s Why

Tottenham Hotspur must keep hold of Christian Eriksen as Tottenham continue to keep their distant dream of finishing in the top four alive. The 22-year-old has been one of the few signings made in the summer that has gone on to have an excellent debut campaign at White Hart Lane.

The Dutch international has risen to further prominence in April with a string of fine performances which included a man of the match performance in Saturday’s 3-1 win at home to Fulham.

Eriksen is the type of player that Tim Sherwood needs to build his team around. He is still young and yet plays with maturity beyond his years.

He appears to be able to lift his game when others are struggling and he has single-handedly turned games on their head this season.

According to his manager, Eriksen has a tremendous work ethic and this will help set an example for others to follow.

Last season’s superstar Gareth Bale was sold to Real Madrid last summer and Spurs must ensure Eriksen remains in the white shirts of Tottenham next season. Spurs are not going to be short of offers for the attacking midfielder and will no doubt be offered sums of money much higher than the £11.5m that they paid Ajax.

It is imperative that Spurs resist these bids and then rebuild for the 2014/15 Premier League campaign.
