As the end of the 2013/14 Premier League season draws ever closer, respected writers, professionals and fans have all shared their picks on who makes their team, player and manager of the current campaign. Although this season’s thrilling title race is yet to be concluded and still has many twists and turns to come, I have also made my mind up on who makes my team of 2013/14.
Lining up in a 4-4-2 wide diamond formation, with wingers on each side, here’s my Premier League team of the season.
Here is my front line.
Strikers: Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez – Liverpool
Liverpool’s sensational ‘SAS’ partnership have torn apart almost every single team this season. Luis Suarez has proven he’s one of the world’s best this year and leads the Premier League’s scoring and assists charts with 30 and 12 respectively, breaking numerous records along the way.
The league’s second top scorer, Sturridge, isn’t too far behind with 20 goals while setting up 7. The dynamic duo’s form this season has seen them become the most feared partnership not only in the country, but in many people’s opinions they are two of the best strikers in world football.
