THREE Reasons Why Manchester United Should Forget About Moving For Edinson Cavani

According to reports, Manchester United are looking to move for Edinson Cavani, despite not having a manager. Here are three reasons why United should forget about it.

1) Wayne Rooney

The England international is the one player in the United set up that looks untouchable. Despite apparently handing in a number of transfer requests under Sir Alex Ferguson, and being on £300,000 per week, Rooney’s performances haven’t been up to scratch.

With him getting what he wants, it seems as though everything will be based around him. Edinson Cavani doesn’t like being second choice, as seen at Paris Saint Germain this season, so with Robin van Persie, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez to contend with, I don’t think the move would suit.

2) Priorities

United need to touch up their midfield and bring in someone who can link the central areas to the attack, not another forward. They also need to think about their defence, as Nemanja Vidic is leaving, Rio Ferdinand is out of contract and the rest have put in questionable performances this season.

3) Management

Signing big money players without a manager is risky business. What if the new man isn’t a fan of Cavani, or can’t fit him in? What if he doesn’t get on with the player?

I think it’s too big of a risk.
