THREE Reasons Why Chelsea MUST Agree New Deal With Lampard

With news reaching us that Frank Lampard will sign a new one-year deal at Chelsea, I put together three reasons why it is a good move by Chelsea.

1) Goals

Lampard is the best goalscoring central midfielder the Premier League has ever seen, bar none. The 35-year-old is known for being in the right place at the right time, running onto loose balls on the edge of the box and finding the back of the net, something which he has done on 250 times between Chelsea and West Ham.

Goals from midfield is so important in a top side, especially as Chelsea’s forwards have failed to live up to any sort of billing.

2) Reliable

Lampard is a Chelsea man. He has played nearly 650 games for the Blues and has been one of their most important players over the last decade, so to give him another year or two wouldn’t hurt. This season, despite his aging legs, he has still played in 38 games and has scored eight goals, which proves he still has it.

3) Winner

Lampard is a natural born winner. In his career he has four FA Cups, three Premier League titles, two Community Shields, two League Cups, one Europa League winner’s medal and was key to the side that won the Champions League in 2011-12. He also has a wealth of individual accolades.
